CONNOR Banks grabbed the only goal of the game as Berks County leapt to fourth in the Premier Division table with a 1-0 home win against Unity, writes Richard Ashton.

A Dan Donegan double and goals from Ricky Latham and Lorenzo Medford sent Reading YMCA to the top of the table following a thrilling 4-3 victory at Highmoor Ibis Reserves, while Terry Amor’s strike gave Newbury a 1-0 victory at home to Wraysbury Village.

Jake Dillon put third-placed Woodcote Stoke Row in front in their game with Marlow United, but Andrew Nichol’s equaliser ensured the game ended 1-1.

Jean-Claude Etienne scored twice for Cookham Dean as they won 4-0 at Mortimer – Paul Sharpe and Josh Waldron getting the other goals – and Taplow United won 2-0 against Hurst.

In Division One, Maidenhead Magpies eased to a 6-3 success against Frilsham & Yattendon, and Westwood United made it three wins from three with a 3-0 victory against rock-bottom AFC Corinthians.

Woodcote Stoke Row Reserves secured their first Division Two win of the season as Jonny Clark, Andy Taylor and Adam Wheeler all hit the target in a 4-2 triumph at Taplow United Reserves, an own goal also assisting the visitors.

Matt Clements, Chip Duncan, Steve Newell and Matt Lomas all netted but Maidenhead Town Reserves were held to a 4-4 draw in a stunning Division Three game with White Eagles Reserves. Lukasz Czekaj, Eryk Nycz, Krzysztof Cymek and an own goal ensured the game ended as a draw.

Woodley United A moved into second spot with a 6-2 demolition of Rotherfield United Reserves, while Harchester Hawks won 4-2 at Brimpton.

Taplow United A went goal crazy in a 12-0 destruction of Harchester Hawks Reserves in Division Four, while AFC Corinthians won 3-0 at The Hop Leaf and Wargrave Reserves edged past Woodley United B 1-0.

In the Berks & Bucks Junior Cup, Unity Reserves crashed out 2-0 at home to Shrivenham Reserves, while Twyford & Ruscombe lost 3-2 at home to Sutton Courtenay.

Westwood United Reserves won 3-1 at Hagbourne United, Compton lost 2-0 to Abingdon United Reserves and Eldon Celtic lost 5-2 at Burghfield.

White Eagles thrashed Highmoor Ibis Under 21 6-1, Newbury Reserves won 4-1 at Blewbury and South Reading lost 3-0 to Harwell Village.

Hurst Reserves progressed with a 5-2 victory at Ardington & Lockinge, Wargrave lost 3-2 to Robertswood, Maidenhead Magpies Reserves were defeated 4-2 by Iver Heath Rovers Reserves and FC Imaan Lions cruised past Delaford Colts 4-1.

Cookham Dean Reserves were thumped 5-1 by Ye Olde Swan Burnham, Finchampstead Reserves won 3-1 at home to Sunters Wood United and Berks County Reserves lost 4-3 on penalties to Chalvey Sports Reserves following a pulsating 3-3 draw.

Reading YMCA Rapids were given a bye after Hanney United conceded, while YPFC also advanced after Letcombe failed to raise a side.

Shinfield Rangers conceded against Stony Stratford Town, Theale did the same at Marcham and Falcons could not get a team against Barkham Athletic.

Woodley United Reserves advanced due to Windsor Great Park conceding, along with Harchester Hawks who were given a bye by Hurley.

Lynch Pin Reserves could not get a side for their game at home to Ashridge Park.
