WOKINGHAM & Emmbrook Under 16s have struck a new kit sponsorship deal with Distrupol.

The company’s name will appear across the team’s shirts for the next two years.

Distrupol, a Univar Company, is a European leader in the distribution and application development of thermoplastic polymers and elastomers. They currently supply to Intersurgical of Molly Millars Lane, a leading employer in Wokingham.

Sadly, the U16s were knocked out of the EBFA League Cup by a 3-2 defeat to Woodley Saints Panthers last weekend.

Panthers went in front in the first-round tie, but Adam McLaughlin equalised when he netted the rebound after Mike Valdambrini’s shot had been saved.

Valdambrini then netted himself with a header from a Cam Davies corner to put Wokingham 2-1 up.

However, their lead was short-lived as Panthers levelled and then grabbed an injury-time winner.

Midfielder Davies was Wokingham’s man of the match.

Meanwhile, Wokingham & Emmbrook secured a 4-2 win at table-topping Burghfield CSA Royals in East Berks Football Alliance U14s Division Six to maintain their 100% record this season.

Burghfield took the lead but Wokingham hit back and went 4-1 in front thanks to strikes from Milo van Vliet, Nathan Mulvaney, Matt Rogers plus an own goal before Burghfield notched their second.

The win maintained Wokingham’s 100% record this season and moved them joint-top alongside Burghfield.

Kai Evans was named Wokingham’s man of the match.

Ascot Utd ASCOT United Royals U12s thrashed Hawley Raiders 14-2 in a friendly on Saturday.

Louis Dean scored five goals, Harry Jenkinson and Charlie Reuby both netted hat-tricks while Toby Holsgrove, Isaac Paice and Finn Cupper completed the rout.

Leo Kennedy scored a hat-trick and Lewis Doherty and Mackenzie Barter were also on target as Ascot United Rangers U13s won 5-4 against Berks County Pumas in a nine-goal cup thriller.

Luke Torrey netted a consolation as Ascot United Galaxy U13s lost 7-1 to Langley Crusaders.

Cade Munden and Toby Jackson were both on target as Ascot United Eagles U14s lost 10-2 against Marlow United Tigers.

Rhys Hughes netted twice and Jaden Lee and Ollie Kelly were also on the scoresheet as Ascot United Racing U14s edged out NPL Youth Stallions 4-3 in an EBFA League Cup clash.

Ascot United Aces U15s romped to a 7-2 win against NPL Blue thanks to a Daniel Martin-Cenzano hat-trick plus strikes from Sam Donachie, Tom Monck, Oliver Breedon and Tom Philpot.

Ascot United Royals U16s defeated Maidenhead Magpies 3-2 with goals from Dylan Reilly, Nikhil Varma and Cameron Gilbert.

On Sunday, Miguel Soto and Oscar Pritchard both scored twice as Ascot United U12s defeated Walton Casuals Panthers 4-1 to extend their winning run to four matches.

A Josh Smith hat-trick, a Ben Kleinsteuber strike plus an own goal saw Ascot United U13s ease to a 5-2 win against Carshalton Athletic Purple.

Gabriel George, Jamie Horsnell and Sam Wood got the goals as Ascot United U14s beat Ashford Town Colts 3-1.

Ascot United U15s won 4-2 in a penalty shootout against Carshalton Athletic Blues to seal their place in the next round of the EBFA League Cup.

The tie finished 2-2 after extra time with Martin-Cenzano and Liam Parry (pen) on target for Ascot.

George Arden, Viktor Ohlenshlager, Nathan Fullard and man of the match Harrison Cliff then converted their penalties after Carshalton had missed two of theirs.

Ascot United Aces U18s defeated Albury Eagles 8-0. Ben Ambridge (2), Josh Betts (2), Dan Fenton, Sam Stanley, Matteo Armezzani and Cameron Tait got Ascot’s goals.

In the girls’ section, Larisa Helyar (2) and Tilly Brown netted for Ascot United Diamonds U14s in a 4-3 defeat to Colne Valley.

Ascot United Diamonds U15s defeated Milford 4-2 with goals from Freya Johnson (2), Darcey Young and Simran Karia.

Katie Vince, Amy Laurence and Lauren Chapman fired Ascot United Diamonds U18s to a 3-2 victory against Crystal Palace Blues.
