RELEGATED Ashridge Park showed they will fight until the end of the season as they came from behind twice to earn a 2-2 draw with Woodcote Stoke Row Reserves in Division Two, writes Richard Ashton.

Elliot Poulter and replacement David Barley got the goals for the home side, while Mark Pearson ended a 97-match goal drought for WSR. Adam Wheeler had earlier opened the scoring for Robbie Lynch’s men.

Ashridge Park had previously been hammered 8-0 by title favourites Westwood United Reserves last Wednesday. Chris Bark struck a brilliant hat-trick and Dean Hughes scored twice, while Tom Bullion, Dan Rolfe and Nikos Chrysikopoulos completed the rout.

Cookham Dean moved level on points with Marlow United at the top of the Premier Division following a 2-0 success at Hurst.

Daniel Hunt and Jonathon Schaaf netted for the Dean, who have played two games more than the leaders.

Jake Dillon grabbed a brilliant hat-trick and brother Frank was also on target as Woodcote Stoke Row eased past basement boys Highmoor Ibis Reserves 4-1, while Taplow United edged past Mortimer 1-0.

Kye Franklin and Carl Jenner helped Newbury to a 2-0 win at home to Woodley United Reserves.

Reading YMCA maintained their title push with a 7-0 destruction of Rotherfield United last Wednesday. Ryan Adams bagged a five-timer and Jamie Hale and Jamie Piercy were also on the scoresheet.

Division One side Westwood United shocked Marlow United 1-0 to advance in the Reading Senior Cup.

In the Jubilee Cup, Burghfield FC reached the final with a 3-1 victory at Wargrave Reserves. They will meet Twyford & Ruscombe, who overcame Rotherfield United Reserves 4-3 on penalties

following a 0-0 draw.

Berks County Rovers won their Diamond Cup semi-final 3-1 against Hurst A. Dave Amey, Richard Cumner and Sam Evans scored for Rovers, with Charlie Scope netting for their opponents.

They will tackle TDC Knights in the final after they beat Woodley United B 4-3.

Mortimer Reserves reached the final of the BTC Intermediate Cup with a 2-1 extra-time win against S.R.C.C.

Bradley Kerr and Michael Percival were the hosts’ heroes, while Jordan Sawyer netted for S.R.C.C.

In the Junior Cup, Hurst Reserves toppled Harchester Hawks 2-1 to set up a final against Woodley United A.

In Division One, an Ashley Searle double helped Reading YMCA Rapids secured a 2-0 win at home to Frilsham & Yattendon. Highmoor Under 21s conceded their game against Winnersh Rangers.

Unity Reserves and Finchampstead Reserves drew 1-1 in Division Three. Matthew Bonny netted for the visitors and Gabrie Edwards was the Unity goalscorer.

Neil King bagged a brace and Joe Tallentire and Rob Teagle were also on target for AFC Baughurst in their 4-2 victory against Taplow United Reserves. Daniel Bisset and Craig Roberts got the goals for the away side.

Highmoor Knights picked up three Division Four points after FC Reading Dons forfeited their game. Knights had previously beaten Berks County Reserves 4-3, with Mike Shields and Anton Hill on target for the beaten team.

Shinfield Rangers cruised past Goring United Reserves 3-0 in Division Five, with Lewis Thomas scoring twice and David McDonnell also on target.
