EVERSLEY & California were in devastating form en route to thrashing Portchester 5-0 to win the prestigious Hampshire County Cup.

The Boars pounced immediately from the start when a George Higgins strike found the back of the net with less then three minutes played.

Quickly into their rhythm the Boars began to stretch the game and press their opponents, and it didn’t take long for Brett Gardner to snatch a goal and extend their lead to 2-0.

The second half began where the first left off, with the Boars dominating play. 

A clumsy tackle just inside the box lead to a penalty for the Boars, which man-of-the-match Paolo Giamattei swiftly dispatched into the left corner to make is 3-0.

With a comfortable lead, the Boars moved up a gear and created a number chances, only for  Portchester’s keeper to pull off some excellent saves.

But in the final five minutes of the game, the Boars added further gloss to the scoreline when George Armstrong and Jordan Edwards scored within a minute of each other to seal a convincing victory and the silverware.
