BERKS County put further distance between themselves and the Premier Division relegation zone with a come-from-behind 2-1 victory at home to fourth-placed Mortimer, writes Richard Ashton.

After going a goal down in the first 15 minutes, County rallied and were rewarded when a Sam Dennison free-kick was turned in at the near post for an own goal.

And County snatched an 80th-minute winner when a flowing move ended with Josh Dillon hitting a ferocious strike past the keeper.

Marlow United took a major stride towards the title with a 2-1 victory at home to Reading YMCA, moving them eight points clear at the top.

Matt Drake put the Young Men in front, but goals from Liam Bushay and Aaron Doyle gave United the win.

A Tommy Chapman bullet and a Toby Nowell penalty gave Woodcote Stoke Row a 2-1 success against Hurst, while Taplow United won 4-0 at second-bottom Unity.

Courtney Lawrence, Devonn Reid, Luquan Small and Shane Small were on target for basement boys Highmoor Ibis Reserves as they beat Woodley United Reserves 4-1, and a Liam Benham double and a Jordan Farr strike gave Newbury a 3-0 victory at Rotherfield United.

Kai Smith netted twice and Scott Jackson was also on the scoresheet as Cookham Dean won 3-2 at AFC Aldermaston, climbing to second in the table.

Division One leaders Westwood United won 1-0 at Cookham Dean Reserves, while Danny Seaward’s effort was not enough for Mortimer Reserves as they lost 3-1 at home to Frilsham & Yattendon.

Ricky Latham, Lee Miles and Simon Maraj-Bennett got the goals as Reading YMCA Rapids overcame AFC Corinthians 3-0.

An Adam Wheeler stunner and an Andy Taylor goal gave Woodcote Stoke Row Reserves a 2-1 win at Barkham Athletic in Division Two.

Table-toppers Westwood United Reserves thumped Goring United 6-1 and second-placed Marlow United Reserves won 2-0 at Sonning.

George Evans, Elliott Poulter and John Hughes scored for Ashridge Park but they were edged out 4-3 by Wargrave.

Richard Johnson bagged a brace and James Payne and Colin Phillips were also on target as Finchampstead Reserves crushed Taplow United Reserves 4-1 in Division Three.

Jordan Sawyer struck a brilliant hat-trick and Liam Lewendon was also on the scoresheet as S.R.C.C. beat Twyford & Ruscombe 4-2. Richard White and Shane Westell got the goals for the losing side.

AFC Aldermaston Reserves conceded their game at Wargrave Reserves.

In Division Four, Maidenhead Magpies annihilated FC Reading Dons 7-1. Mark Knight grabbed a hat-trick and David Olver and Alan Hasler both struck twice for Magpies, while Harchester Hawks edged out Rotherfield United Reserves 3-2.

Division Five leaders TDC Knights were held to a 3-3 draw at Woodley United B in an entertaining clash. Callum Fox-Spence scored twice for the hosts, with Matt Jenkins also on target. Jason Agate, Kobby Duodu and Simeon Edwards were the Knights’ goalscorers.

Baughurst AFC Reserves hammered The Hop Leaf 5-1, Taplow United A and Hurst A drew 0-0, and Goring United Reserves conceded their game at Shinfield Rangers.
