AFTER the prolonged winter and bad weather break, it was back to business in the Bracknell Town & District Sunday Football League for the majority of sides.

In the Premier Division, the top two both struggled as leaders Sunningdale & Wentworth slipped up 4-1 at home to FC Fernhill, whilst second-placed Binfield Club Athletic lost 5-2 at home to FC Meta, Oli Owen and Luke Angel scoring for Bins.

Sunningdale had taken the lead through Jesse Todd midway through the first half, but Elliott Rushforth equalized for Fernhill before the break.

Fernhill then took the lead when Charlie Evanson’s corner beat everyone before going in off the far post.

As the game wore on and Sunningdale pressed for an equaliser, Fernhill looked the sharper side on the break and late goals from Ben Knight and Evanson’s second put a bit of gloss on the scoreline.

Elsewhere, Golden Farmer Rangers were 1-0 up through a Carl Wyatt goal at Morale Madrid when for the second game in a row their match was then abandoned, this time following a scuffle after a disputed red card had been awarded against Farmer.

In Division One, the top two sides Braybrooke Athletic and 3M remain locked on 20 points each following their 1-1 draw.

Tom Smith scored for Braybrooke. 3M stay top on goal difference.

Super Reeves in third place could have gone to the summit with a win, but were held 2-2 at an improving Golden Farmer Rangers Reserves.

Stefan Lavasani and Ben Ryle netted for Reeves, Stuart Kent and a stunning Tom Conway strike levelled it up for Farmer who stay in fifth spot.

Hurricanes are hoping for a better second half of the season and they will have enjoyed their 2-1 win at struggling Berks County.

Bracknell Cavaliers beat Ashridge 2-1 whilst AFC Crowthorne and Sandhurst FFC was another abandoned fixture.

Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW remain top of Division Two after a 4-2 win at home to FC Harmanswater, Graham Divers getting both the Harmanswater goals.

Berkshire All Stars are still only a point behind as a Dean Clayton goal and a brace from Sam Basnor helped them beat Winnersh Town 3-2.

In the only other league game in the division, Hope & Anchor climbed a place to sixth with their 4-1 win at home to Warfield United.

Bracknell Saint-Germain stay top of Division Three after putting eight past Bearwood Wanderers in an 8-1 victory.

They also pulled a further two points away from second-placed AFC Crowthorne Reserves who were held 1-1 at Winnersh Rangers, Tom Fraser with Rangers’ goal.

John Mulholland and Scott Ellis scored for Bracknell Royals in a 2-2 draw with third-placed Bracknell Athletic.

Woodley United Reserves’ 5-1 win sent Crownwood Dukes to the bottom of the table as Bracknell Manics Reserves’ 3-1 win at home to Finchampstead Sunday A saw them swap places with CWD.

There was also success for the sides still involved in the Berks & Bucks County Cups.

Last season’s beaten finalists, Finchampstead Sunday, progressed through to the semis with a 3-1 home win over New Windsor Social Club.

In the Sunday Junior Cup, Finchampstead Sunday Reserves are also through after a 5-3 win against Emmbrook Inn.

However, Bracknell Celtic are out following a 3-1 loss at AFC Pangbourne.
