RAIN wreaked havoc with the local footballing scene as a series of matches were postponed on Saturday.

Wokingham & Emmbrook’s home Hellenic League Premier Division clash with Highmoor Ibis at The Triangle was the first to be called off following three days of heavy rain.

The Sumas travel to Letcombe in the first round of the Bluefin Sports Supplementary Cup this coming Saturday (1.45pm).

Bracknell Town’s trip to high-flying Highworth Town was also postponed. That game will now be played on Tuesday, April 5, while Mark Tallentire’s men host North Leigh United in the second round of the Bluefin Sports Supplementary Challenge Cup on Saturday (3pm).

The derby between Ascot United and Binfield also fell victim to the weather last Saturday.

Ascot welcome Thame United to The Racecourse Ground for a Bluefin Sports Challenge Cup third round tie on Saturday (3pm).

The Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup fourth round clash between Lambourn Sports and Finchampstead was postponed last Saturday. The two sides will try again this coming Saturday (1.30pm), before Finch travel to Highmoor Ibis in the Reading Senior Cup next Monday (7.45pm).

Eversley & California’s home game with Combined Counties League Division One leaders CB Hounslow was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The Boars are due to visit Cobham this coming Saturday (3pm).
Sandhurst Town were also left kicking their heels after their trip to Bedfont & Feltham was washed out.

Weather permitting, the Fizzers host South Park Reserves on Saturday (3pm).
