A 90TH minute goal from substitute Stephen Stannard snatched a 2-1 win for Rotherfield United at Berks County in the Premier Division.

Josh Dillon had put the hosts in front with a well-placed lob on 10 minutes, but Guy Bickerton levelled midway through the second half.

And after the home side had Ashley Hewett sent off for a second bookable offence late on, Stannard snatched a dramatic late winner.

Table-topping Reading YMCA failed to score for the first time this season as they suffered a surprise 1-0 defeat at Unity.

Second-placed Marlow United missed the chance to go top as they suffered their first defeat of the campaign in a 3-1 loss at AFC Aldermaston.

Having won 10 and drawn two of their opening 12 games, it proved unlucky number 13 for Marlow as they were blown away in the first half.

A goalkeeping error from Tom Henderson allowed Ryan Alexander to give the home side an early lead, and that was doubled when the prolific Kai Parton-Edy waltzed past a static defence to double the advantage.

The striker made it 3-0 before the break with another fine solo effort, although Marlow were given a lifeline on 66 minutes when Qwamani Thomas picked up Joe Da Silva’s pass on the left and beat two defenders before rifling home.

However, despite Neil Austin and Andrew Nichol having chances, United were unable to salvage anything from the contest.

Third-placed Mortimer now have a share of the lead after their 3-0 win away at bottom-of-the-table Highmoor Ibis Reserves saw them join Reading YMCA and Marlow United on 32 points.

The goals all came in a four-minute spell in the first half and were scored by Jack Bowyer, Joshua Drew and Gregory Beckett.

Newbury are in fifth position following a 2-2 draw with Taplow United, whilst Woodcote Stoke Row were beaten 2-0 away at Hurst.

Cookham Dean moved up into the top half of the table after a 5-0 win at Woodley United Reserves, Paul Sharpe bagging a brace and Callum Deeling, Lee Hawkins and Sean Gavagan also on target for the away side.
