EARLY Premier Division pacesetters Sunningdale & Wentworth stayed top and kept their 100 per cent record intact as they ran out 4-0 winners at home to Binfield Club Athletic.

The visitors will be pleased with the way they started the game and it took until the 30th minute for the first goal.

Great work down the left by Paul Blanchard saw the ball fizz across the box untouched, but Harvey Elliott-Money kept the ball in play, beat his defender and his shot was turned into his own net by an unfortunate Binfield defender.

Soon after Brian Murphy doubled the lead with a low drive from the edge of the box.

Sunningdale secured the points early in the second half when a Murphy throw-in was headed home by the excellent Ricky Belo. Richard Massingham’s solo effort put a bit of gloss on the scoreline with 15 minutes left.

Elsewhere, Winkfield suffered another defeat, losing 5-0 at home to FC Meta.

In Division One, Braybrooke Athletic won a feisty affair with Waverley Rangers 1-0 and stay top of the table above Hurricanes, but only on alphabetical order with both sides equal on points and goal difference, Hurricanes beating Bracknell Cavaliers 2-1.

Berks County capped their first appearance with their first win of the season, beating Super Reeves 2-0.

Dan Newell and Jordan Watson were on target for County.

In Division Two, leaders Hope and Anchor slipped up at home to Whitegrove 4-2, George Hobden, Jack Gale and two from Billy Bryce for the victors. Bracknell Forest earned their first win of the season beating Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW 4-2 in the division’s only other league game of the day.

Bracknell Saint-Germain went above AFC Crowthorne Reserves at the top of Division Three on goal difference after they beat their closest rivals 3-2. Connor Banks and Dale Coke with Crows’ goals.

Bracknell Royals certainly know where the net is and followed last week’s 12 goals with a 9-2 win at Finchampstead Sunday A. Jim Mulholland, John Mulholland, Ellis Gregory, Adam Jarman, Ant Waistell with two and a Scott Ellis hat-trick for Royals.

Bracknell Titans remain planted at the foot of the table after a 5-0 pasting by Woodley United Reserves, and Crownwood Dukes also went down 5-0 at home to Bracknell Manics Reserves.

In the BTDSFL Senior Cup first round, there was a repeat of last season’s final where FC Fernhill once again won, but they needed extra time to see off Golden Farmer, eventually winning 4-2.

The result was even more remarkable in that Fernhill played the entire game with just eight players. Farmer missed a penalty 10 minutes in and in the aftermath were reduced to 10 men themselves before a second red for Farmer saw the sides evened up somewhat.

Dan Adams and Garry Sergeant got the Farmer goals.

A Gareth Ainsworth hat-trick helped Finchampstead to a 5-2 victory at Bracknell Manics, Adam Lawson and Matt Whittle with Finch’s others.

Raglan FC secured a convincing 3-0 win at struggling Morale Madrid thanks to second half goals from Dan Broadbear and a Nathan Manser double.

3M beat Sandhurst FFC 2-0 and Newbold College lost 2-0 at home to Bracknell Celtic in the other cup matches, Harry Pangborn and Aaron Townsend scoring for Celtic.

Winnersh Town won 4-1 away at Bearwood Wanderers in the BTDSFL Junior Cup, Bracknell Falcons won 3-2 at Bracknell Athletic and Finchampstead Sunday Reserves had a convincing 4-0 home win over Berkshire All Stars.

Winnersh Rangers are another side through to round two as they trounced FC Harmanswater 4-1 at home, Matt Cory with Harmanswater’s consolation.
