The 45-year-old IT specialist from Lower Earley is now well on the way to reaching his £5,000 fundraising target for the British Heart Foundation Byers, with eight half marathons under his belt, will be running the 26 mile course this Sunday in memory of his late father, George.
He said: “A huge thanks to Andy Cotton and Stewarts Coaches for their support of BHF and my London Marathon run.
“Their support helped massively to beat my original £2000 target. Now, along with so many other generous donors, the total is almost £4900 and I’m hoping to go past £5000.
“Thanks to every single sponsor - and especially to my running team, Faye Taylor, Louise Flisher and Lee Bennett who I will be running with on Sunday.”
