EVERSLEY'S slim hopes of wrestling the Thames Valley Division 2a title from Datchet were all but extinguished by the heavy rain on Saturday.
The title-deciding match was over before it had really begun with rain halting play after just 11 overs.
Datchet were on 40-1 before the heavens opened, so both sides earned seven points from the encounter.
In Division One, Wokingham managed to finish their innings against Beaconsfield before falling victim to the weather five overs in to Beaconsfield's response.
Chris Beales (54) scored a half century to help Wokingham reach 218-9 but Beaconsfield's innings were cut short with the hosts on 26 for no loss.
Finchampstead's match against Kew was abandoned with the home side scoring 76 runs for the loss of two wickets.
It was a similar story for the 2nds but their match against Windsor was abandoned before a ball was even bowled, pictured below.
In Division 3a, Royal Ascot's match against Hayes was abandoned with the score on 18-2.
Meanwhile, Bracknell were able to complete their match against Hurst in Division 4b but were on the wrong end of a 23-run defeat.
