James Watt also chipped in with 40 as the visitors reached 222-8 in their 52 overs, John McDonald taking 3-44.

In reply, Ben Myles struck 53 not out from 43 balls after Jack Fisher had made 49, but the Oaks could only make it to 215-5.

Hurst are at home to Beaconsfield on Saturday.

Neal Robinson (76no) led the way as the hosts managed to score 238-7, but a brilliant 115 from opener James Wensley ensured Ascot reached safety at 178-7.

Eversley endured a second straight Division 2a defeat as they went down by 54 runs at home to table-toppers Hayes.

Skipper Chris Last bagged 3-75 from 16 overs as the visitors amassed 269-6, and despite James Magowan’s 55, the Boars were bowled out for 215.

Eversley visit Amersham 2nds this Saturday.

In Division 3a, Finchampstead 3rds (230) beat Wooburn Narkovians (216) by 14 runs.

Mike Staves (85), Steve Carson (64), Chris Morgan (57) and Alex Jackson (40no) helped Binfield (298-4) pile on the runs in a 208-run Division 4a pummelling of Reading 2nds (90).

Binfield host Theale & Tilehurst on Saturday.

Royal Ascot 2nds (120) were thrashed by seven wickets at home to Newbury (123-3).

Bracknell captain Taz Shah (64) was again in fine form as they had the better of a draw at home to Thatcham Town 2nds in Division 5b.

The hosts declared on 215-8 from their 50 overs, but they were unable to bowl their opponents out as Thatcham closed on 169-6, Phil Stone claiming 3-61.

Bracknell visit Eversley 2nds this Saturday.

Matt Salter’s unbeaten 56 led Eversley 2nds (152-6) to a four-wicket win against Wokingham 3rds (151).

In Division 6b, Steve Jeffrey (92) continued his fine form to lead Binfield 2nds (192-5) to a five-wicket win against Theale & Tilehurst 2nds (191-9), while Bradfield (86-6) overcame Finchampstead 4ths (85) by four wickets.

Mark James (83no), Tim Everitt (71) and skipper Ollie Lovegrove (62) were all among the runs as Hurst 2nds (269-3) battled to a draw at home to Taplow 2nds (337-6 declared from 47 overs).

Naeem Mohammed took 4-92 as Royal Ascot 3rds drew with Yateley 2nds in Division 7a.

Ralph Weeks made 84 to provide the backbone for Ascot (183-9) to hold on after Yateley declared on 285-8 after 47.5 overs.

Eversley 3rds (84) lost to Kidmore End 2nds (85) by five wickets, while Wokingham 4ths (153-6) beat Theale & Tilehurst 2nds (152-8) by two wickets.

Bracknell 2nds (173-9) snatched a one-wicket win against Thatcham Town 3rds (172-9) in Division 8a.

John Dunnet (70) and Bill Munday (50) batted well, but it was not enough for Royal Ascot 4ths (211-6) as they lost by 164 runs against a Hayes 3rds side who racked up a colossal 375-8 in their 40 overs.

In Division 9a, Simon Eldridge hammered 112 and Gary Woodford added an unbeaten 96 to lead Finchampstead 5ths (239-3) to a seven-wicket success against Eversley 4ths (238-7).

Bill Burnett top scored with 75 for the Boars, with Anup Urath (55) also among the runs for Eversley.

Leaders Wokingham 5ths (124-4) earned an impressive six-wicket victory against Maidenhead & Bray 4ths (123) to stay top of the table.
