DIVISION One leaders Wokingham looked set to increase their advantage at the top of the table as they dominated the opening stages of their abandoned game with Stoke Green, writes Richard Ashton.

Lewis Sharp (3-13) and Simon Myles (2-13) bowled well as the Oaks reduced the visitors to 44-6 before the rain arrived.

Wokingham visit Cookham Dean on Saturday (1pm).

Stand-in captain Andrew Nibblett top scored with 31 and opener Jack Ford made 25 as Eversley reached 98-5 in their Division 2a game against North Maidenhead, but it was then called off.

Eversley visit Bagshot on Saturday (1pm).

In Division 2b, the games between Royal Ascot and Burnham 2nds (105-2), and Hurst (77-2) and Aldershot, were abandoned due to rain.

Royal Ascot host Hurst this Saturday (1pm).

Wokingham 2nds had Finchampstead 3rds 55-1 before their Division 3a game fell victim to the weather.

In Division 4a, Burnham 3rds reached 128-4 before they were called off against Eversley 2nds, while the same result affected Royal Ascot 2nds’ (38-3) game with Slough 3rds.

Imran Raja blasted an unbeaten 100, but struggling Bracknell’s (151-2) Division 5b clash with Wargrave 2nds was another one washed out.

Second-bottom Bracknell host mid-table Wokingham 3rds this Saturday (1pm).

Opener David Pelczer cracked an unbeaten 62 from only 54 balls as Wokingham 3rds reached 85-2 against Falkland 3rds, the rain then arriving.

Hurst 2nds (74-6) appeared to be in trouble before their Division 6b clash with Farnham Common 2nds was called off, while the game between Royal Ascot 3rds and Purley on Thames 2nds was cancelled without a ball being bowled.

In Division 7a, Hasanain Ghafoor top scored with 39 as Wokingham 4ths were bowled out for 189 by Kidmore End 2nds, but the visitors were unable to start their reply due to rain.

Eversley 3rds (83) were thankful for the bad weather as their clash with Theale & Tilehurst 2nds was abandoned between innings, and Bracknell 2nds would also not have been too upset to be called off with Newbury 2nds 128-1.

Joshua Jayasingh (86) and John Dunnet (81) put on 183 for the opening wicket for Royal Ascot 4ths, but their Division 8a game with Kew 4ths also fell victim to the weather.

In Division 9a, Thatcham Town 4ths conceded their game against Eversley 4ths.
