BINFIELD went top of Chilterns League Division One after dominating their draw at Braywood.

Sean Ennis (21) and Chris Morgan (49) gave the visitors a solid base, and Tim Vines kept the momentum going with a well-crafted 59.

Tom Andrews (23), Matt Humphrey (21) and Michael Reid (48) also contributed as Binfield reached an imposing 275-8 in their 52 overs.

Shahbaz Khan (2-20), Asam Raza (2-36) and Raza Farooq (2-42) were the stand-out bowlers for the home team.

Binfield made a fine start in defending their total as Andrews bowled Prijith Vijayan for four, while Matt Hayman (2-24) also delivered a fine opening spell.

Nasser Satti (29) and Raza (63) fought back, but with both of them being removed by Andrews, Binfield were well in charge.

Captain Mike Staves (3-36) worked his way through the lower order, and with Andrews (4-64) claiming another victim, Braywood were forced to cling on for the draw, closing their innings on 195-9.

Binfield travel to White Waltham on Saturday (1pm).

In Division Two, Binfield 2nds crushed Coleshill by 208 runs.

Matt Nicholls (64) and Tom Nower (43) rescued the home side from a stuttering start, guiding Binfield to 271-9 declared in 47 overs.

Ian Goddard made an early breakthrough, but Coleshill actually steadied the ship and seemed well set at 55-1.

However, a staggering collapse then saw them skittled for just 63, Goddard (6-25) and Edgington (3-21) doing the damage.
