NEW Bracknell Town signing George Short scored in the final minute of second-half injury-time to give his side a share of the Hellenic League Premier Division points in a thrilling 4-4 draw at Lydney Town.

The hosts led four times but each time the visitors fought back, with Adam Cornell initially replying after Luke Barker gave Lydney a 10th-minute advantage.

Pete Macklin converted Jack Rutter’s cross eight minutes into the second half to make it 2-1 to the hosts, but Short equalised quickly afterwards.

Kerry Hale put Lydney back in front on the hour mark, but Cornell’s second levelled matters with five minutes remaining.

Bracknell’s hopes of a draw appeared to be dashed when Hale bagged a second in added time, but Short’s strike with the last kick of the game salvaged a point for the visitors.
