Keith Pennicott-Bowen’s men produced a much-improved performance as they bounced back from their 5-0 humiliation at Binfield to take a point.

The Robins made a dream start as Bradshaw slotted home a rebound after a fine move involving captain Sam Whiting and striker Shane Cooper-Clark.

However Shrivenham – who are mired in a relegation battle sitting second bottom and 11 points from safety – were given a break when Khalid Senussi was harshly ruled to have brought down Matt Brown in his own penalty area.

Player manager Sam Collier stepped up to drive the spot kick past Garry Aulsberry and make it 1-1.

The home side could have gone on to win the game in the second half but the referee twice ruled out goals for Shrivenham before John Reese saw an audacious 35-yard effort cannon off both posts before being cleared to safety with just five minutes left in the game.

Bracknell remain ninth in the table but have the chance to leapfrog Ardley United when the Oxfordshire side visit Larges Lane this coming Saturday (3pm).

l BRACKNELL Town have re-signed last season’s first-team Player’s Player of the Year, Liam Alleyne.

Alleyne left Larges Lane at the end of last season for a second spell at Ryman Premier Division outfit Met Police.

He was a regular for Met Police reserves but struggled to hold down a regular first-team place for a club competing two levels above Bracknell.

Alleyne could be back in the Robins side this Saturday.

l BRACKNELL Town Under 12s have qualified for the Berks & Bucks County Cup semi-finals after a superb 2-0 win against Kennington FC on Sunday.

The young Robins now travel to Newport Pagnell on February 8, and if they win that they could tackle a Thatcham side managed by Robins’ first team boss Pennicott-Bowen in the final of the competition.

Thatcham have been drawn at home to Marlow United in the other semi-final.
