It is the third consecutive season that Bendik will play at the Hive, whilst Wiggins returns for his second spell at the club.

Bendik, 29, has contributed 59 points from 102 games for the Bees since signing from Czech side HC Hradec Kralove in 2012.

Wiggins contributed seven goals and seven assists during his debut season at the Hive, and will be hoping to improve on that record this year after putting pen to paper on a new deal.

Bracknell general manager Ben Beeching was delighted to convince the duo to commit for the upcoming season as the club continue assembling their squad ahead of the English Premier League campaign.

He said: “Jan had a great season last year. In the second half of the year I thought the restructured coaching team helped him raise his game to another level.

“He brings not only rock solid defence, but his all around package of reading the game, positional play and quick transition made it a logical choice to bring him back”.

Beeching was also quick to praise the contribution of Wiggins, whose work he feels can sometimes be vastly underrated.

“When Chris was injury-free last season I thought he was immense. There’s a lot of dimensions to his game, whether its protecting the puck; gaining the zone or creating room for others. I feel that some of these technical aspects of his game often go overlooked.

“He’s also a positive guy to have around the team and I’m pleased to be working with him again”.

Head Coach Lukas Smital was equally enthused by the signings after earmarking them as important parts of the team for the upcoming campaign.

“Both guys played a big part last season and I’d identified them as important parts of the team for next year too,” he said. “I’m delighted to have agreed terms with them.”
