The 33-year-old forward started his career with Guildford Flames in 1996 and enjoyed multiple cup and play-off wins with them.
He was immediately appointed captain after joining Bees in 2011 and has led the team to the play-offs in the past two seasons.
However, following the play-off defeat to Manchester Phoenix, Lamey told the News that he is now going to consider his future.
“With my current situation with family and the business I run it has been taking its toll a bit, so I need to sit down and think seriously whether I can keep doing it,” he said.
