The two sides go into the final weekend of the English Premier Ice Hockey League regular season separated by just two points.
Bees, who are ahead in the standings, go to MK Lightning on Saturday (7.30pm f/o) while Phantoms host Manchester Phoenix.
They will then meet at The Hive on Sunday (6pm f/o) in a potential winner-takes-all clash for the last play-off place.
If they finish level on points then Phantoms would take eighth spot as they hold a superior head-to-head record, having beaten Bees in all five of their meetings this season.
On both of their visits to Bracknell they have won 4-2, but Mettam says that will not count for anything this weekend.
“It’s a new game every time we play them and we start again, whether we have won five in a row or lost five in a row,” he said.
