The Czech scored 11 goals in 24 matches since joining from Milton Keynes Lightning in the summer.

But he has left the club with immediate effect as they attempt to 'bring outgoings in line with incomes'.

Andrew Cross, chairman of Bees' owners Precision Sports Marketing, said: “It is with sadness this decision is being made as Kamil is a very personable guy and a well liked player within the club. Our efforts to maximise value for money in all areas of the club both on and off the ice needs to continue for the good of the club.

“While the work to increase revenue from new sponsors continues to show signs of success, it is not yet generating the income to bridge the gap between monthly income and expenditure. With that in mind this decision had to be taken to safeguard the club’s finances and protect the remaining playing squad to allow them to focus on reaching the playoffs.” Bees were beaten 4-2 by Sheffield Steeldogs in their only game of the weekend.

In a feisty encounter, Tvrdek and Shaun Thompson scored for Bees in the final period but it was not enough.
