PRECISION Sports Marketing Limited (PSM) have been announced as the new licensees of the Bracknell Bees.

The sports marketing specialists take over from former owners Katie Eleftheriou and Stuart Robinson.

Boyhood Bees fan Ben Beeching will be the director of hockey and Gareth Cox and Lukas Smital will continue as head coach and assistant respectively.

In addition, a statement from PSM revealed that they have already signed the full team for next season.

"On the ice we have some excellent players and a committed and skilled coaching staff," said chairman Andrew Cross.

"We have already shown our commitment to their vision by signing our full team for next season.

"The Bracknell Bees are a premier ice hockey team and remain one of the best known names within the sport in the UK.

"Times may have changed but the supporters remain loyal, loud and proud. The 'Black and Gold' have a proud history. It is time to remind ourselves of that history and the hockey values that created it. It is time for old school hockey at a packed Hive with a loud and proud Bees army cheering us on."

Beeching added: "I have been a Bees fan since I was a small boy and played through all age groups in juniors at Bracknell and some of the other local clubs up to ED1 level before leaving for the US for college and university.

"Wherever I was I looked for the Bees results each weekend, and have been watching the team since the early 1990s. When the opportunity to assist the Bees presented itself, how could I refuse?

"Having supported this club for years including its years in the Superleague, it hurts to see it in the lower positions of the EPIHL. This year it's been great to see the Bees reaching the play-offs and I believe we can use this as a platform to build on."
