BRACKNELL Bees head coach Gareth Cox has urged his team to cut out their mistakes and not allow refereeing decisions to cost them points in the future.

After losing 6-3 at Sheffield Steeldogs on Saturday evening, Bees were left incensed when a late equaliser was chalked off against Slough Jets the following night.

Cox was told by the referee that he blew his whistle to stop play milliseconds before the buzzer sounded for the goal because he could not see the puck in the crowd of bodies around the net.

"We can't just moan about the referees, we made mistakes that gave them goals and they shouldn't have happened," said Cox.

"That's the bottom line, if we had cut those mistakes out we would have won the game comfortably. We came back from 2-0 down, but then threw away a two-goal lead. There was some sloppy play, guys not picking up their players, stuff we have to work on and be better at."
