BRACKNELL Bees failed to take any points from the opening weekend of the 2012/13 English Premier Ice Hockey League season.
Alan Lack scored Bees only goal on Saturday evening as they went down 4-1 at Basingstoke Bison.
The following night Bees welcomed defending champions Guildford Flames to The Hive for their first home game of the season.
The visitors quickly established a two-goal lead thanks to strikes from Curtis Huppe and man-of-the-match David Longstaff.
Bees hit back with efforts from Sam Oakford and Lukas Smital to level the match before the buzzer.
But Flames scored twice more in the following two periods to seal victory, with Shaun Thompson grabbing a late consolation effort.
