BRACKNELL Bees completed their pre-season campaign with a 6-2 aggregate defeat to Slough Jets in the Berkshire Cycles Cup.

Debutant Ollie Bronniman scored Bees only goal on Saturday evening as they went down 4-1 at The Hangar despite outshooting their hosts by nearly 20 shots.

Over 150 penalty minutes were handed out in a bad-tempered affair that climaxed with three match penalties given to Bees' Matt Foord and Jets duo Frantisek Bakrlik and Adam Greener.

And Bracknell were unable to battle their way back into the tie on Sunday, with Martin Masa scoring their only goal in a 2-1 loss.

Bees start the 2012/13 English Premier Ice Hockey League campaign at Basingstoke Bison on Saturday (6.30pm f/o) before hosting Guildford Flames on Sunday (6pm f/o).
