BRACKNELL'S final away game of the season ended in disappointment as they were thrashed 9-3 by Peterborough Phantoms.

While the absence of key players certainly played a part in Bees' defeat, the visitors also did themselves no favours by taking 32 penalty minutes compared to none by the Phantoms.

Adam Marashi, deputising for Carl Ambler between the poles, faced 45 shots over the three periods while Bees managed just 24 on Peterborough's goal.

BEES yet again threatened to shock one of the promotion chasing teams but yet again ended up with nothing to show for their efforts as they lost 6-5 at The Hive to Guildford Flames.

A few weeks ago it was Basingstoke who found themselves threatened by Bracknell but eventually won 2-1, on this occasion, Flames were pegged back to 5-5 with less than a minute remaining but scored through Nathan Rempel to break Bees hearts.

Bracknell now have just one game remaining this season, against Peterborough Phantoms on Sunday (6pm f/o), to lift themselves off the foot of the table and finish a disappointing year on a positive note.
