Players and supporters gathered at the Jennett’s Park Community Centre to pay tribute to the efforts of Lukas Smital’s side during a difficult campaign in which they finished bottom of the English Ice Hockey Premier League.

However, youngster Antonov produced a number of fine performances throughout the campaign to take the honours, while Matt Towalski was named as Best Forward.

Lewis Turner collected the award for Best Defenceman and Danny Ingoldsby collected the Most Improved Player prize after making a series of fine contributions to the side.

Antonov picked up a second award on the night when he was presented with the Colin White Memorial Trophy for Best British Player.

The Supporters Club Unsung Hero award went to forward and Bees captain Matt Foord. This award is given by the Supporters Club committee to the player that they feel has not received the recognition that they deserve through the season.

All of those awards were voted for by fans through an open ballot, and were presented by members of the Supporters Club committee.

The Bees also presented their own Players’ Player of the Year trophy which was won by James Galazzi.

In collecting his award, the talented forward admitted he was surprised to be win the prize, but went on to thank his teammates. He added that the season was a true team effort and that they had stuck together through thick and thin.

Coach Smital went on to award his Coach’s Player award but instead of singling out any individual he opted to award it to the entire Bracknell Bees 2014/15 team for their efforts throughout adversity, something he went on to make a point of highlighting in his speech.

After the awards had been presented the party continued with music and drinks.
