Wokingham & Emmbrook earned their first Hellenic League Division 1East win of the season, defeating Chinnor away by the solitary goal.

It came in the first half from Simeon Weekes, who rounded off a superb solo run with an equally good finish.

Weekes and Connor Holland both worked hard up front, while George Marsh, Jake White and Charlie Dean stood firm as the hosts battled hard to save the game in a fiercely-contested second half.

Felix Davies also pulled off a series of fine saves to help Sumas keep a clean sheet after conceding 10 goals in their previous two league games.

Wokingham, who hosted Chalvey Sports last night (Tuesday), return to Larges Lane this Saturday when Didcot Town Development will be the visitors.

Joe Pantony bagged a brace as Eversley & California defeated Lymington Town 2-1 in the second qualifying round of the FA Vase.

He opened the scoring from the penalty spot after five minutes and doubled his side's advantage with 17 minutes gone.

Boars' Robbie Slack was shown a straight red card in the 64th minute and Sam House pulled a goal back for the Wessex League after 80 minutes, but they held on for a well-deserved victory.

Their reward is a home first-round tie against Horndean, another Wessex League club, on October 13.

Eversley visit Tooting Bec this Saturday (3pm) and next Tuesday (7.30pm) host Knaphill in the Cherry Red Records Premier Challenge Cup.

Sandhurst, without a fixture last weekend, return to league action against Godalming at Bottom Meadow on Saturday (3pm).
