CLUB professional Paul Newman used his home knowledge to win the TP Tour at East Berkshire.
He returned a two-under-par 67 to beat Patrick Spraggs by one shot.
He was one-over-par with four holes to play and then returned three birdies in a row on the 15th, 16th and 17th to earn the £1,000 first prize.
Spraggs enjoyed a successful amateur career which included England international honours before turning professional in 2011.
Newman beat a field of 48 who included three former PGA European Tour winners in Mike McLean, Jamie Elson and Bill Longmuir.
Elson and Longmuir, along with Liam Robinson finished joint third on 69.
East Berks club captain Mike Bennett said: “This is the second year we have hosted the TP Tour event and we look forward to welcoming them back next year.
The TP Tour specialises in high-level one-day tournaments for experienced and aspiring professionals, European Tour and Challenge Tour players and even the odd Ryder Cup player.
The events are played on the best courses in the UK.
