WOKINGHAM’S Bob Thompson, Colin Livingstone and Mike Duggan have made it through to the Berkshire County Benevolent Triples semi finals.

The trio defeated a team from Abingdon 21-6 in the quarter final at Wokingham.

They will now face either Newbury or Crowthorne in the semi finals.

In the Kennet League, Wokingham B toppled the A team 104-56 in Division One.

Wokingham won 135-128 against Ad-Finem Bowling Association in a mixed, home friendly.

Sunningdale

SUNNINGDALE pulled of a 98-73 victory at Great Hollands despite winning on only one rink.

The winning rink contained John Turner (skip), Les Green and Margaret Ward.

Sunningdale Ladies lost 43-40 at Staines where the game was stopped after 15 ends due to the heat.

Sunningdale’s winning rink was Kathy Edwards (skip), Sheila Sparks and Janet Spencer.

In the Kennet League, Sunningdale lost 90-76 at home to Windsor & Eton for an 11-3 points defeat.

They also defeated Three Mile Cross 80-79 for a 10-4 points victory.

In the LV Division, Sunningdale B thrashed Maidenhead Town C 70-38 at home, securing all 10 points.

Sunningdale’s highest-scoring rink was John Boyer, Barry Hobbs and John Turner (skip).

Sunningdale A won 67-39 at Maidenhead Thicket A, again claiming all 10 points.

Their highest-scoring rink was Les Green, Ken Johnson and Dennis Bailey.

Despite having players for only two rinks, Sunningdale Ladies won 40-18 at Great Hollands.

Sunningdale were penalised for a lack of players and had to settle for a 4-2 points win.

Their highest scoring rink was Janet Spencer, Gill Dickson and Kathy Edwards (skip).

Great Hollands

GREAT Hollands lost 85-55 against Caversham A for a 14-0 loss on points in the Kennet League.

The KLV B team lost 54-44 to Bracknell B for an 8-2 points defeat.

The KLV C team thrashed Maiden Erlegh 67-30 for a 10-0 points win.

Henry Bone, Paul Chapman and Les Dykes had the highest winning rink 40-7, Roger Entwistle, Stan Nicholson and Dave Anderson won 14-11 with Paul Damiano, Georg Auret and John Fudge snatching a 13-12 win on the last end.
