WYNAND Lamprecht scored his second century of the season as Division 4a table-toppers Binfield cruised to a seven-wicket win at home to Theale & Tilehurst, writes Richard Ashton.

Michael Holder (71) and Rob Dimmack (42) led the visitors to a respectable total of 254-9 from their 52 overs, Jack Collett claiming 5-66 after Binfield chose to field.

Lamprecht (106) was in top form along with fellow opener Steve Carson (90), and the hosts reached their target with 55 balls to spare, Chris Morgan 34no.

Binfield host Henley 3rds this coming Saturday.

Skipper Rob Handley (74) and Gary Clarke (66) led the way as Royal Ascot 2nds (259-5) had the better of their draw with White Waltham (192-9).

Berkshire Under 14 star Charlie Dunnett (7-42) starred for Ascot and wicketkeeper Dan Corsini also helped himself to five catches behind the stumps, but Nikhil Jathavedan (66no) provided the key resistance for Waltham.

Eversley suffered a third straight Division 2a reverse as they went down by 71 runs at Amersham 2nds.

Andrew Cowell (4-54) was the pick of the Boars’ attack as they restricted Amersham to 237-8, but aside from James Magowan (73 from 52 balls), the Eversley batsman struggled and they were bowled out for 166.

Eversley are home to Windsor this Saturday.

Hurst remain bottom of Division 2b after they were narrowly edged out by one wicket at home to Beaconsfield.

Tim Walder top scored with 69 as the hosts were bowled out for 164, Harry Stephens (4-31) the pick of the attack.

Off spinner Phil Higgs (6-36) gave the cellar-dwellers hope of bowling their opponents out, but David Heavyside’s (97) knock proved crucial in helping Beaconsfield over the line.

Hurst travel to Wargrave on Saturday.

Royal Ascot dropped to sixth after they were beaten by 84 runs at home to High Wycombe 2nds.

Jeremy Hare (6-63 from 20 overs) and Kevin May (3-44 off 17) bowled the hosts into a good position as Wycombe were restricted to 204-9, but none of the Ascot batsmen got set as they were shot out for 120.

Royal Ascot visit Aldershot next Saturday.

Shafiq Malik (48) and Mohammed Shabbir (40) were among the runs as Bracknell dominated their draw with Eversley 2nds in Division 5b.

Sam Glaze took 6-40 as Bracknell were bowled out for 187, but Peter Henly (4-45) then bowled well for the visitors as they had the Boars hanging on at 126-9. Bracknell host Wargrave 2nds this Saturday.

In Division 6b, Phil Wiggins recorded brilliant figures of 7-52 to inspire Hurst 2nds (113-9) to a dramatic one-wicket win against Theale & Tilehurst 2nds (109).

Binfield 2nds collected 25 points after Burnham 4ths were unable to raise a side for their fixture.

Royal Ascot 3rds obliterated Eversley 3rds by 200 runs in Division 7a.

Deep Mohain (94) and Daniel Mallett (80no) powered Ascot to an imposing 256-8 before they declared after 51 overs.

In reply, Jon Last (26) was the only Eversley batsman to make double figures as they were blown away for just 56, Tim Howson taking 5-17.

Karthik Ramanujam top scored with 88 as Bracknell 2nds beat Bradfield 2nds by 35 runs in Division 8a.

The hosts totalled 180-8 in their 40 overs – despite John Bargent bagging 4-41 – and they then restricted Bradfield to 145-9, Saibabu Malisetti taking 4-32.

Royal Ascot 4ths (119) lost to Boyne Hill 4ths (120-3) by seven wickets, while in Division 9a, Eversley 4ths (68-3) secured an excellent seven-wicket success at Windsor 4ths (64).
