DAN Willis beat a field of around 90 players to win the Gascoigne Cup at East Berkshire. ​

The four-handicapper returned a gross 68 (nett 64) to claim the silverware on count-back from James Crawford (11hcp), while Nick Robinson (1hcp) took third with a nett 66.

The Bobby Locke Putter, a competition for players aged 55 and over ​,​ ​and the Noel Thompson Plate for those over ​70 were contested by the men’s senior section with 60 members taking part.

The Locke Trophy was won by Kevin Smith (12hcp) ​with 39 points, one ahead of the runner-up, club captain Mike Bennett (14hcp).

John Kerr (17hcp) lifted the Thompson Plate with 38 points and Terry Edwards (14hcp) was the runner-up on 36.

East Berkshire ladies contested the Challenge Bowl, a 36-hole competition played over two weeks.

The winner was Amanda Bancroft (31hcp), returning a nett 61 and nett 72 for 133, with Gabi Heuchel (8hcp) the runner-up after returning 73 and 66 (139).
