  • SUNNINGDALE lost 89-75 at Caversham A in the Kennet League for a 12-2 points defeat. The winning Sunningdale rink was Dale Spencer, Brian Munden, Don Allston and Brian Webb (skip).

In the LV Division, Sunningdale A lost 55-54 at Desborough B in an 8-2 points defeat. Winning rink for Sunningdale was Les Green, Ken Johnson, Bob Montgomery (skip).

Sunningdale B lost on all rinks in a 10-0 points defeat at Wraysbury.

Sunningdale beat Great Hollands 73-71 in a friendly with a highest-scoring rink of John Boyer, Ray Callaghan and Pam Kiddell (skip). But they lost another friendly against Mytchett 75-67, despite a winning rink of Alf Chell, Pam Kiddell and Mike Ward (skip).

  • IN the Thames Valley Ladies league Great Hollands Linnets won only one rink in a 8-2 loss to Maidenhead Town.  The Wrens lost to Three Mile Cross 56-43 for an 8-2 points defeat.

The Kennet league team were on the wrong end of a 103-62 defeat against Three Mile Cross, losing 12-2 on points. 

The KLV A team won 63-35 against Maiden Erlegh for a 10-0 points win, the KLV B team lost 64-39 to Reading A for an 8-2 points defeat. 

The KLV C team fared better winning narrowly 52-48 against Wokingham C for an 8-2 points win. 

Roger Entwistle, Stan Nicholson and Derek Tickner won 19-11, Colin Staunton-Lambert, Paul Damiano and George Auret won 15-12 with Neil Lofthouse, Norman Bullock and Les Dykes losing 18-25.
