WASHINDI Trampoline Club continued their successful season at the Southern Region Team Qualifier in Alton.
The Crowthorne-based club was represented by 36 competitors who needed an individual score of 45.0 points or higher and a top-two finish to qualify for the finals in June.
Six Washindi members made the grade while the club’s youngest competitors, who were not eligible to qualify for following events, still produced some dazzling performances.
The club’s boys squad achieved nine podium finishes including four first places for Alex Pohjola, Jake Bullock, Owen Whittall and Kofi Elhaggagi.
The girls also claimed five podium finishes including a first place for Aimee Green.
In the Trampolining for People with Disability category, Thomas Hue and Russell Cooper both took top spot in their group to qualify for the Southern Region finals later this year.
Meanwhile, in the higher-level NDP7 categories, Lydia Osborn (4th), Callum Gooding (3rd) and Bethan Gill (3rd) led the way for Washindi.
As well as competing regionally, Washindi hosted two recreational competitions in March and April where participants from schools and feeder clubs showcased their work in a non-pressurised environment.
Both events were great successes and all participants were awarded medals or rosettes for their efforts.
