BRACKNELL Cavaliers Under 8s Girls are offering youngsters the chance to get involved in the sport.
The team was set up by Paul Huggins and Neil Baigent in September and has taken off well, currently having more than 12 girls attending weekly training sessions and playing in festivals in Reading, which is run by the Berkshire County Girls Football League.
Baigent’s eldest daughter, Chloe, 13, has been helping with training and plans to take her referee’s qualification when she is 14 and her FA level 1 Coaching qualification when she is 16.
Huggins said: “As a club we are fully committed to developing local female referees and coaches as well.”
