SOUTH Berkshire Ladies earned a share of the spoils as they drew 1-1 with Oxford 2nds in their Trysports Three Counties League Premier One game on Saturday, writes Richard Ashton.

They travel to Oxford University 2nds in their last game before the Christmas break this coming Saturday.

In Premier Two, second-bottom South Berkshire 2nds were beaten 2-0 at home by Reading 2A, while South Berkshire 3rds drew 0-0 at Scarlet Runners in Division Three.

Division Four basement dwellers South Berkshire 4ths picked up a point following an encouraging 1-1 draw at Marlow 5ths.

South Berkshire men suffered a disappointing 3-2 reverse at home to Ashford 2nds as they dropped to fourth in the MBB&O Division One table.

Ravi Patel scored both the goals for the hosts, but a Sam Betts brace and a Pavi Aulakh strike did the damage for Ashford.

South Berkshire travel to Henley 2nds this Saturday.

Second-bottom South Berkshire 2nds were beaten 6-3 in an entertaining game at Henley 2nds.

Rob Badley netted twice for the visitors and Sam Hardingham was also on target, but goals from Nico Cheesman, Guy Harmer, Fred Newbold, Ali Slay and a Richard Woolfrey double ensured Henley were victorious – leaving the visitors still winless.

In Division Three, promotion-hunting South Berkshire 3rds climbed to third in the table following their 4-2 home win against Staines 3rds.

South Berkshire 4ths were held to a 2-2 draw at Marlow 4ths in Division Five, while Tring 2nds edged out South Berkshire 5ths 3-2 in an exciting Division Seven tussle.

South Berkshire Terriers produced a fabulous performance to beat former leaders Newbury & Thatcham 4-3 in Division Eight West.
