WOKINGHAM District Schools U11s sit top of the Surrey League with a 100% record after a 4-0 victory against Kingston District Schools U11s.

Kingston were unlucky not to take the lead when a direct free-kick hit the woodwork.

But Wokingham responded and went 1-0 up before half time thanks to an excellent Nathaniel Muza strike.

A superb second half saw Wokingham pull away as Scott Morgan made it 2-0 by converting a Zackary Waight cross then Waight added a third with a cool finish when one-on-one with the keeper.

Brandon Kingsbury netted a late fourth for Wokingham who next host Thurrock in the Southern Counties Cup.

  • WOKINGHAM & Emmbrook FC’s first ever women’s team are through to the next round of the Berks & Bucks Women’s FA County Trophy Cup after a 4-3 home win against Bracknell Town Ladies Reserves.

Oranges looked to be in control until they conceded three quick goals towards the end of the first half.

They fought back strongly after the break but, despite goals from Kai Evans and Nathan Mulvaney, they failed to find an equaliser.
