READING FC Women trio Mary Earps, Molly Bartrip and Lauren Bruton have been named in an England Next Generation squad.

They will travel to St George’s Park in Staffordshire today for a three-day training camp along with some of the countries brightest prospects.

The camp will be led by Marieanne Spacey, who is also an assistant to Mark Sampson’s senior team.

Bartrip beamed: “It’s always an honour being selected for England but with this age group it is something special.

“I am delighted for the other two also, they’ve been on fire and fully deserve it.”

Meanwhile, Reading FC Women are holding an open evening and trials at John Madejski Academy.

The club runs a successful college programme which has seen five girls turn professional in the past four years.

The programme is based at the John Madejski Academy in Hartland Road. The open evening will be held there on Tuesday, October 18 from 6.30pm to 8pm.

The course is suited to Year 11 girls aiming to combine full time education (A Levels or BTEC) with an extensive football programme.

Trials then take place on November 22.
