FINCHAMPSTEAD FC roared into the third round of the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup with a comprehensive 4-0 home success against FC Titans.

The hosts were dominant throughout and broke the deadlock just inside the opening 15 minutes, Dave Stevens left with a tap-in at the far post to make it 1-0.

Harry Swabey doubled the advantage and it was 3-0 before half-time as Kylo Atkinson broke through before placing his shot into the net.

He nearly bagged a second early in the second half, only for his shot to curl wide of the top right-hand corner.

Richard Thomas struck the post with a header shortly after, but Finchampstead did make it 4-0 when the unfortunate Lee Longstaff diverted a cross into his own net.

Thomas had three more attempts go near and Jonathan Malone, Atkinson and Adam Barnard also went close, but Finch were unable to inflict even more damage.

Finchampstead return to Hellenic League Division One East action on Saturday, hosting Woodley United (3pm).
