THERE was more disappointment for Binfield CC on Saturday when they lost by three wickets at Denham, one of the three sides below them in the Chilterns League Division 1 table.

Binfield were bowled out for just 111 in 30 overs with six of the wickets falling to Faisal Mahmood for 34 runs.

Denham were made to work hard for their runs, but a half century from Harry Reddy saw them reach their target in 27 overs, finishing 112-7.

Binfield picked a mere four points for their efforts, while Denham claimed 30 points.

This Saturday Binfield are home to Wraysbury, who are fourth in the table having chased down 175 to comfortably beat White Waltham by six wickets last weekend.

Meanwhile, Binfield 2nds had the better of a Division 2 draw with Amersham Hill.

With Harry Lee making 82 not out and Joe Sculley 68, the fifth-placed side made 241-6 in their 52 overs.

Binfield then restricting the visitors to 176-8 in 48 overs with Matt Hayman taking 4-37. Gavin Mackenzie top scored for Amersham with 42.

Binfield travel to basement side Chalfont St Giles 2nds this weekend. Chalfont were skittled for 79 by second-placed Braywood (268-6) in a heavy defeat last weekend.
