WASHINDI Trampoline Club rose to the challenge once again with a string of podium places in their latest home competition.

The novice tournament gave members of the Crowthorne-based club a chance to showcase their routines and experience the pressures of a competitive environment for the first time.

The action saw Harry Slater take first pace in the British Gymnastics Club Development Level 1 group, for those born between 2005-09.

He was closely followed by James Wessendorff in second and both were taking place in their first Club Level event.

The Club Development 2 category for those born between 2001-07 was a real family affair, with Tom and Sydney Stapleton taking first and third place respectively, and Sophie Claydon in second.

There was another first place for Washandi in the 2007-09 category after Lilly Goswell claimed top spot ahead of Nia Slatter in second and Mia Gardner in third.

All Washindi gymnasts showed great maturity to produce their best routines on the day.

Meanwhile, around 30 children from the region also took part in a recreational session organised by Washindi.

All participants received a certificate and rosette, with medals awarded for podium places. Another novice event will take place later this month.
