WASHINDI Trampoline Club has enjoyed tremendous success at three competitions recently.

They achieved 15 podium places in the final regional event at Alton.

Following the contest, Jake Bullock, Kofi Elhagaggi, Owen Whittall, Reuben Botha, Jessica Mae Brown, Angelica Xanthoulis, Callum Gooding and Lydia Osborn were selected as Washindi’s Southern representatives in the team competition, which will take place in the Barclay Card Arena, Birmingham.

Seven of the club’s competitors took to their first National League event in Fleming Park, Southampton, giving many of them a chance to show off new skills.

Osborn completed her double back somersault for the first time and Rachael Gooding a cody, while Chloe Hatto and Ellie Stevenson had their first taste of a national level competition.

Both Bethan Gooding and Emily Sherratt faced tough competition and one of the largest groups of the day in the 17-18 Female League Three category.

However, both finished very respectably, within the top 24 places.

Gooding, competing in the 15-16 Male Level Three event, achieved a very impressive third place.

Four of the TPD squad (Trampolining for People with Disabilities) shone at a competition in Coventry, with all four in the top 10.

Thomas Hue, Russell Cooper, James Saunders and Ciara Mungin came fifth, sixth, seventh and ninth in Cat 1.
