MAISON Wells put in a sublime performance to score all five goals as Ascot United Under 13 Diamonds won a nine-goal thriller 5-4 against Richmond Park.

The U14 Diamonds did not fair as well despite goals from Freya Johnson and Amelia Humphrey, losing 4-2 to Hampton in their League Cup semi final.

The U18 Warriors secured a 2-1 victory against Sandhurst Town Rangers, the goals coming from Sam Veasey and Josh Hipwell.

Daniel Martin-Cenzona struck five times as the U14 Tornadoes went goal crazy in a 12-0 demolition of Sandhurst Town Boys.

Pablo Sivov hit a hat-trick and Dylan MaKay, Ben Payne, Kai Rymes, and Tom Stickels completed the rout.

Jay Burden bagged a brace and Daniel Lay, Bobby Balfe, Sam Horsnell and Michael Parker were also on target as the U14 Predators downed Bracknell Town Jaguars 6-2.

The U14 Trojans battled to a 2-1 success against Yateley United Youth thanks to a Jan Heiplatz strike and an own goal.

An Alfie Knock double and a Luke Smith effort helped the U12 Galaxy to a comfortable 3-0 win against Darby Green and Potley Strikers, while Robbie Laxton’s brace was not enough for the U12 Rangers as they lost 6-2 against Winnersh Rangers Warriors.

l WOKINGHAM & Emmbrook Under 15 Girls overcame Barton Rovers 2-1 in their first match since the start of December.

The young Sumas took the lead on 10 minutes when a long throw from the left-hand side into the penalty box by Kathryn Barden caused confusion in the Barton defence, allowing player-of-the-match Rebecca Greig to calmly slot the ball into the bottom corner.

It was 2-0 before half time when an excellent Milia Williams cross was met by Greig – ghosting in between two defenders on the six yard box – to volley home.

Although Barton came into the contest more in the second half, it was a surprise when Barton scored with 15 minutes to go, although they never looked like forcing a draw.

The U13 Oranges were edged out 2-1 by Hartley Wintney Hawks.

Missing a number of key players, Sumas fell behind after 13 minutes to a long-range strike.

However, they pulled a goal back within two minutes when, after some great passing in midfield, Nathan Mulvaney fed Ben Alderman in the box, and he finished with aplomb.

Both sides continued to create chances, with Mulvaney and Kai Evans going close for Oranges, but the score remained 1-1 at half time.

Hartley Wintney had the better of the second period, though, and grabbed a deserved winner when Wokingham failed to deal with a cross.

Left back Matt Gofton was named man of the match.

l WOKINGHAM District Primary Schools U11s Rep Team thrashed Merton 4-1 thanks to goals from Henry Mott, Finlay Coleman, Archie Athey and Dominic Ballard.
