WOODLEY United Reserves put up a brave show before ultimately falling to a 5-3 defeat at home to reigning Premier Division champions Marlow United, writes Richard Ashton.

Aaron Brown and Oneal Garnes put Woodley 2-0 up in the first half, although an Ollie Flint penalty and an own goal levelled matters before the break.

Garnes restored the home side’s advantage but three late goals – one from Robert Crawford and a Liam Bushay brace – ensured Marlow took the points.

Kai Parton-Edey, with two, and Matty Wilkins were on the scoresheet as AFC Aldermaston beat Taplow United 3-2, Simon Murtagh and Jordan Jawandha grabbing the goals for the visitors.

Unity and Rotherfield United drew 1-1.

Mortimer Reserves climbed to second in Division One following a 4-1 victory at home to rock-bottom AFC Corinthians.

Matthew Davies, Luke Flory, James Brown and Michael Davies did the damage for Mortimer, while Liam Fuller scored the consolation.

Highmoor Under 21 were beaten 2-0 by Frilsham & Yattendon.

In Division Two, Jake Dillon scored a superb hat-trick to help Woodcote Stoke Row Reserves to a 7-0 demolition of Wargrave.

James Elderton, Tom Brownlow, Mike Stroker and Andy Taylor completed the rout.

Leaders Westwood United Reserves obliterated Sonning 9-1, Tony Turner hitting the consolation goal.

Neil Austin struck a hat-trick but ended on the losing side as Marlow United Reserves crashed to a 5-4 home defeat in a thrilling clash with FC Imaan Lions.

Jake Braim was also on target for Marlow, but a Ben Lyden double and goals from Aqeel Butt, George Dallarda and Usman Tariq secured the spoils for the visitors.

A Thomas Day treble and a Matt Bacon strike earned Barkham Athletic a 4-2 triumph at Ashridge Park.

Jacek Bojda netted for Division Three table-toppers White Eagles, but they were held to a 1-1 draw at second-placed S.R.C.C.

Substitute Simon Copps helped Finchampstead Reserves to a 2-1 victory at Wargrave Reserves, while Alex Ray, Nathan Bingham and Colin Philips were on target in Woodley United A’s 3-1 success against Unity Reserves.

Lee Mills scored for Twyford & Ruscombe but they were thrashed 4-1 by Taplow United Reserves, and AFC Aldermaston Reserves and Baughurst AFC shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw.

Mark James, Neil King and Tommy James were the Baughurst goalscorers, while Rieo Francis, James Edwards and Steven Lewis netted for the visitors.

Max Jennings scored for AFC Corinthians Reserves but they were thumped 6-1 at Rotherfield United Reserves in Division Four.

Alan Hasley helped himself to a brace and Ajith Prabha and David Olver also found the net as Maidenhead Magpies Reserves cruised past Berks County Reserves 4-0.

Daniel Priest also bagged a double in Theale’s 4-1 win at Harchester Hawks. Gary Trussler also scored for Theale.

Oltian Mezhika hit a brace but FC Reading Dons were thrashed 5-2 by Burghfield FC, Jon Williams, Jamie Wilson and Billy Margetts among the visitors’ goalscorers.

Christopher Potter struck four times as Division Five leaders TDC Knights smashed Baughurst AFC Reserves 8-0. Jason Agate, Simeon Edwards, Luke Mills and Kobby Duodu finished the scoring.

Arron Burch also hit a four-timer as Hurst A hammered Sonning Sports 7-3. Christopher Mclean bagged a brace and Peter Jones was also on target for Hurst, while Daniel Fletcher struck twice and Lee Evans netted for the hosts.

Woodley United B toppled Taplow United A 3-2, and Goring United Reserves overcame The Hop Leaf 2-1.

The game between Shinfield Rangers and Berks County Rovers was abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch with the score 1-1. James Balfe had scored for the Swords, while Ross Latimer-Hodgson was on target for Shinfield.
