HURST’S miserable run in Division 2b continued as they lost by five wickets at Burnham 2nds.


Greg Smith (92no) was again the star man for Hurst as they posted 230-6, but Obi Sarwar’s outstanding 101 not out fired the hosts to glory.


Hurst host Hayes this coming Saturday (12.30pm).


Tino Mutombodzi was Eversley’s hero as they boosted their Division One survival hopes with a nerve-jangling one-wicket win at home to Stoke Green.


Scott Dyer took four wickets as the visitors were bowled out for 162, and Mutombodzi’s outstanding 85 guided the Boars home.


Royal Ascot moved top of Division 3a thanks to a crushing 102-run win at home to rock bottom Fleet.
James Wensley (119) starred as the hosts reached 209-9, and Will Ellison (5-44) then skittled Fleet for just 107.


Ascot are now 17 points clear of Thatcham Town and travel to Finchampstead 3rds on Saturday (1.30pm).


Eversley 2nds crushed basement boys Bracknell by 175 runs with a ruthless performance in Division 4b.


Ben Saville (96) and Chris Last (51) led the way as the Boars were bowled out for 261, and off spinner Last (6-59) took his 300th wicket for the club as Bracknell were shot out for just 86. Gareth Cummings also claimed 3-13 for Eversley.


Tharindu Denipitiyage played an extraordinary innings to help Division 6b leaders Royal Ascot 2nds to a 93-run win against Theale & Tilehurst 2nds.


The batsman made a magnificent 198 until he was cruelly run out two short of a double century, but with Howard Green (72no) also among the runs, Ascot were able to declare on 299-2 after 45.2 overs.


T&T showed some fight but were eventually bowled out for 206, Jason Carr taking 5-54.
Hurst 2nds slipped to a 61-run defeat at home to Teddington Town 2nds.


Useful contributions throughout the London side’s innings enabled them to reach 273-5, and despite Tom Hibbs (92) impressing, Hurst were bowled all out for just 212.


Eversley 3rds cruised to a seven-wicket win at North Maidenhead 3rds in Division 7a, with Mike Judd’s sensational 128 not out helping the Boars to their target of 197.


Royal Ascot 3rds were edged out by four wickets by Maidenhead & Bray 3rds in a high-scoring thriller.
Cameron Allan (58) and Murray Barter (57) laid the foundation as Ascot declared on 240-6 after 46 overs, but Maids chased the runs down in just 37.5 overs in reply.


Division 8a leaders Bracknell 2nds were stunned as Eversley 4ths completed a clean sweep of wins for the Boars with an eight-wicket success.


Max Hammond (5-28) and Matt Salter (5-29) skittled Bracknell for 133, and Will Perkin (72no) eased Eversley home.


Royal Ascot 4ths (243-6) were held to a draw by Bagshot 3rds (212-8).
