LIGHTNING struck twice for Bracknell Town after dropping more points in the title race for the second week running.
Promotion-chasing Robins threw away the lead in a 1-1 draw at Easington Sports on Saturday, seven days after suffering the same fate at Chinnor.
On that occasion they were pegged back by an 84th-minute equaliser after Martin Bradshaw put them in front.
And this time they were ahead through an own goal only to concede a second-half leveller - also an own goal - again.
At least news that leaders Rayners Lane drew 3-3 at Finchampstead while second-placed Headington Amateurs lost to Woodley Town helped soften the blow for Bracknell, who go to Rayners Lane this Saturday (3pm ko).
However, joint player-boss Danny Oliphant could not hide his frustration: "It was a similar story to Chinnor and we're really disappointed," he admitted.
"We went in front again, had a lot of chances but couldn't get the important second goal. We're just not scoring enough at the moment and we need to improve.
"The performance was better than last week, but we've got to learn to see out games from a winning position."
