ASCOT United delivered one of their best first-half performances of the season to beat Flackwell Heath 4-1 in the Hellenic Premier Division on Tuesday night.

The Yellamen were 3-0 up at the break thanks to a Lee Boon brace and a third from Ben Knight, who went on to score a second 10 minutes from time.

The game was only a few minutes old when Boon fired home the first.

All the best football was coming from Ascot and on 13 minutes another flowing move saw Dave Hoar play in Boon to score his second goal.

Ascot dominated possession and with quick movement had the visitors pinned back.

Dave Hancock joined in on an attack down the left wing, and saw his rasping shot deflected for a corner.

On 37 minutes, Knight got Ascot's third in bizarre circumstances as he chased down a long through ball.

The keeper, in trying to clear, smashed the ball against Knight's back and it sailed into the net.

The second half saw some sloppy play from Ascot as they took their foot off the gas.

Joe Yeates had to make a great sliding clearance off the goaline as Flackwell got a foothold in the game.

Saunders made way for Josh Warren but, on 74 minutes, Flackwell reduced the lead to 3-1, which proved a wake-up call for the home side.

The three-goal advantage was restored on 80 minutes when a Jack Smillie corner was headed down by Sam Wadieh to Knight, who hooked the ball in for his second of the night.

Elsewhere, Eversley & California were beaten 1-0 by Fleet Spurs in the Aldershot Cup.
