BINFIELD manager Mark Tallentire has challenged his strikers to 'grasp the bull by the horns' in Carl Davies' absence.

With the prolific Ian Davies having departed in the summer and Carl now set for a lengthy lay-off, goalscoring responsibilities will now have to be shared among the remaining four frontmen.

In one of the sternest tests the Moles have faced this season, the manager is now looking for the likes of Jos Millar and Garry Sargeant to impress before he looks elsewhere to replace Davies, who will be out for at least six weeks following his hernia operation.

Speaking about the situation, Tallentire told the News: "Jos and Garry have been sitting on the sidelines but they've been very patient." "They will both be given the chance to prove their worth. Let's hope they grasp the bull by the horns. I want to see a reaction from them. They have got to take responsibility for their position." * PICK UP THIS WEEK'S NEWS FOR FOR FULL INTERVIEW AND MORE BINFIELD NEWS.
