BRACKNELL Hockey Club ladies' 1sts could not recover from going a goal down and were beaten 3-1 by Aylesbury.

Bracknell had numerous chances in the first half but were unable to convert and Aylesbury secured a half time advantage against the run of play.

They doubled the lead with a short corner but captain Becky Coveney led the Bracknell revival with their first goal, with the help of Kelly Lockyer and Lorna Palmer. However, it was not meant to be as Aylesbury went on to score a third.

Bracknell ladies' 2nds took the lead against Phoenix & Ranelagh but were edged out 2-1.

Bracknell were on the back foot for much of the half but took the lead through Nicky Johnson.

Phoenix then equalised from a short corner and scored a second goal.

Bracknell men's 2nds came from two goals down to beat Witney 3-2 and record back-to-back victories in MBBO Division Four.

Bracknell conceded the goals from a super Witney strike at the top of the D and then a counter attack in the second half.

Tom Scott began the home side's revival and they were soon on level terms when Tom Pullen reacted quickest to a spilt shot by the Witney keeper. Adrian Plant struck the winner to complete Bracknell's dramatic comeback and move them up to ninth in the table. Bracknell Terriers went down 7-3 to a talented Oxford side but Bracknell made their penalty corners count with two conversions from Steve Williams and skipper Neil Badley. The other goal came on the break when Jon Brayshaw bludgeoned home the ball.
