Leader: Feelgood factor cash can't buy

EVEN those people who cannot stand football must surely be aware that a rather important match is taking place at Wembley Stadium on Bank Holiday Monday.
If nothing else they might find a little more room around town, with some 40,000 Reading supporters heading up the M4 to spend the day in what was London NW10 when the club last played there in 1995 but now seems to have become London HA9.
Victory will not only mean everything to those fans, but also to many thousands who will be with them in spirit and, without wishing to resort to an old cliche, it will re-register Reading's name on both the football map and in the minds of peoples from Beijing to Boston, delighted to see the guys in blue and white back in the Premiership and on their TVs again.
We report elsewhere the potential riches victory will bring for both club and local economy, but no amount of money could buy the feelgood factor we'll all share if the boys bring home the spoils on Monday. Best wishes and good luck. Come on you Royals!
