Be care-ful with cash

WHEN Barclays investment bankers are pocketing £2 billion in bonuses, and £600 million is reckoned to be changing hands between bookies and punters at this week's Cheltenham Festival, such subjects as recession and austerity budgets might almost appear figments of someone's imagination.
Hopefully this is not the illusion that it might appear and there are indeed companies and individuals out there with, as the end of the financial year approaches, some cash to spare.
Many people have heard of Brookfields School in Tilehurst but not everyone knows about the brilliant job its dedicated teachers, carers and helpers do, with the loyal support of grateful parents, for youngsters who by any standards have never had a level playing field.
Today we seek your help to create the early years outdoor play facility which will give Brookfields children the opportunity to begin spreading their wings and testing the heights of their potential. With your help we can surely turn £97,545 from dream to reality.
